The Vintech X73 is an all discrete Class A mic preamp with equalizer. It is built with the same components and design as the Neve 1073 module. There have been extensive comparisons between the Vintech X73 and Brent Averill and Original Neve modules. There have been comparisons done in the studio and at AES Los Angeles. Mix magazine has recently publised a review about the Vintech X73, compared to both the Brent Averill and Original Neve (MIX Magazine September 2001.) The article found that the X73 is identical to the original Neve 1073 in tone! Shipping weight is approximately 27 lbs. with the power supply.
